PlayHQ helps to Manage Competitions and Engage with Participants

To access your profile or begin a registration, you’ll first need to either log in or create a PlayHQ account. The details in this article describe the process of creating a new PlayHQ account.

Follow these steps to create a PlayHQ account to enable you to complete your registration:

  • Choose the “Create an account” option after you’ve begun your registration
  • Complete your details on the “Sign up to PlayHQ” form
  • Enter a verification code that is emailed to you
  • Log in for the first time and complete the registration

If you do not already have a PlayHQ account at the time you’ve begun your registration, select the Create an account button to the right of the page. Enter your First name, Last name, Email, Mobile number, and set a password. View the PlayHQ Privacy Policy and Terms of Use by clicking on the provided links. You will be accepting both the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use if you complete the sign up process.

After you have submitted the sign up form, you will be taken to the Verify your account page. A verification code will have been emailed to the email address you created your account with. Enter this verification code and click the Confirm code button.

If you close your web browser before entering the verification code, visit the verification page at any time here or copying this URL into your browser: https://www.playhq.com/signup/verify

Check your email – you will have received an email from PlayHQ with the subject of “Verify your PlayHQ account”. If you do not immediately locate the email, please look in your junk or spam folders. If found, move the email to the Inbox folder and then click the Verify my account button.

Once you have verified your PlayHQ account, you will be taken to the login page. Enter your email address and the password you set earlier, and click the Log in button. You are now ready to use your PlayHQ account and complete your registration.

Competition participants can access their team’s fixtures, ladders and results via My Teams, which is found in their PlayHQ profile. The ‘My Teams’ tab is only available for competition participants Coach, Team Manager or Player.

Teams will display immediately after a participant registers directly to a team or is allocated to a team by an administrator.

To locate My Teams, log in to your PlayHQ profile. In the top right hand corner, select the ‘My Account’ menu item. The ‘My Teams’ tab will be displayed, alongside the Profile, Accreditations (if applicable), Registration History and Memberships tabs.

Teams for different sports can be accessed via a dropdown and teams are sorted by whether the Competitions season are Active, Upcoming or Completed.

Participant registration begins by accessing a Program’s registration form either from an organisation’s list of available registration options on their PlayHQ Discover site (see screen image below), or from anywhere else you might have received the program registration link from (for example via email, social media, or from another website).

Once you’ve clicked on the relevant program registration link, you’ll arrive on the registration overview page that provides information about the registration you’re about to complete (details the Organisation’s Name, Program, Season, and typically other details such as available Program Groups, Pricing and Additional Information):

If you are not logged in to PlayHQ at the time you take this step, you will need to either Log in or Create a PlayHQ account first in order to continue. Ensure that you make the appropriate decision to register the correct person and progress to select the participant type in the Choose Role step. For registration to a Program, you can choose to register as either a Player or Volunteer.

Program registration fees will be presented next. You will also need to agree to Terms and Conditions and can Opt-In to marketing communications from your sport before progressing to the next step.

Your registration begins by accessing a registration form URL – either from an organisation’s list of open registration options on the Discover site or from anywhere else you might have received the registration form URL (such as via email).

Once you’ve clicked on the registration link, you’ll arrive on a registration Overview page that provides some additional information about the registration you’re about to complete (e.g. the Association/Club, Competition/Program, Season, pricing information, etc..

You can select the ‘Get started’ button to continue with your registration. Depending on the type of registration form you have accessed, you may continue your registration as a Player, Coach or Team Manager or register a Team. If you are not logged in to PlayHQ at the time you take this step, you will need to either Log in or Create a PlayHQ account first in order to continue.

After selecting a registration link, log in to your PlayHQ account. Alternatively, you can create a new PlayHQ account if you have not already done so, and once your account is set up you will be returned to the registration form you accessed.

If the registration link you have accessed is for participant registration, you’ll arrive on the Choose User page of the participant registration process after you’ve begun your registration.

You’ll find yourself on the Fees page in the registration process after you’ve either completed the Participant Details page while registering as a player, team manager, or coach or have completed the Team Details page while registering a team.
